The Chuck Puzzles

The Chuck puzzles are a whole family of puzzles based on a design by Ron Cook, starting with the Babychuck. 6 pieces, through to the 150 piece Great Grandpapachuck.
Pentangle’s Chuck Puzzles can be rebuilt in different forms. The larger the Chuck puzzle the more versatile it becomes. One can even join different Chuck puzzles together to create totally new designs.

Squirrel Cage Puzzle~

Pentangle says ~

The Woodchuck Puzzle is the second smallest in the Chuck series of puzzles - only the Babychuck mini-puzzle is smaller. We recommend that you start your relationship with the Chuck puzzles with the Woodchuck.

Lunatic Puzzle~

What’s so hard about it? It looks kind of simple, doesn't it?
Well, it’s confusing. It’s complicated. It requires good dexterity besides insightful puzzle solving skills.

Take a good look at this puzzle before you take it apart - make a drawing or take a photo. Maybe take it part way apart and then reassemble it because . . .

Papachuck Puzzle~

Mastering the Papachuck Puzzle is the prerequisite for tackling the bigger Chuck puzzles. All the techniques you need to learn can be acquired by constructing Papachuck. There are other configurations that can be built using the Papachuck pieces - two of them are shown on a photo provided by Pentangle.

This puzzle DOES come with a solution! It's one of the very few Pentangle puzzles that do.

This puzzle DOES come with a solution booklet! It's one of the very few Pentangle puzzles that do. If you buy only one Chuck puzzle this is the one to get - it’s the best value.

Only Great Grandpapachuck is a bigger challenge than this puzzle. You definitely do not want to try this puzzle before you’ve mastered smaller Chuck puzzles.

Great Grandpapachuck is the ultimate Chuck puzzle - it has 150 pieces. You’d be crazy to take this monster apart before you’ve mastered smaller Chuck puzzles. Don’t try it - and if you do, don’t call us, we won’t be able to help.
