byebye.jpg (126843 bytes)"The Story of the Table and Chair Puzzle:"

"Many, Many Years ago there was a family of bears who lived in the woods during the summer and in a cave during the winter. So every spring and fall they had to pack up their furniture and move it. As the bears grew older, this became harder and harder to do. One winter night, a couple of the smarter bears got together and figured out that they could construct their furniture to fit into one package, it would be a lot easier to move. So a large table and chairs where maid for grandma and grandpa bear, a medium table and chairs for mama and papa bear, and a small table and chair for baby bear and his friend, the little girl with blond hair who would some times visit the bear family. All this furniture could be fitted together, and two big bears could carry it two and from there homes in one trip. And so this is how the table and chair puzzle came to be."

-Jerry Syfert

This lovely put together puzzle is made up of 10 individually pieces: 3 tables, 6 chairs, and a foot rest for grandpa bear (who is getting along in age). The puzzle is crafted from solid southern pine hardwood, and finished with a Linseed oil mixture. This leaves the puzzle with a very natural look, as well as a great smell.
