The
Robot is the ultimate kumiki puzzle. It was designed by Tadaaki Yamanaka in connection
with a technology exhibition held in Japan in 1993. It’s big - more
than 7" tall and top quality. The Robot is made from unfinished Japanese ho wood and
walnut.
The Robot’s thumbs, elbows, and knees move - it has six moving parts - so
it’s a very mechanical, “mechanical puzzle.” The workmanship
and details are very good.
The Robot comes with a solution diagram, is wrapped in cellophane, and comes in a
cardboard box. It could reasonably be said that the Robot is one of the best kumiki puzzle
ever made.
