Kuhn PhaenThis tricky sliding block puzzle demands logical combination skills. The game consists of a varied number of 4 distinctively shaped pieces. The challenge is to move the pieces into a position which offers the opportunity to slide the flat square out of the tray through the slot.
You may not remove any of the other pieces from the board in order to change their position.

The provided diagrams give 10 different starting configurations. The easiest of these takes 43 moves - the hardest takes 128 moves.

The puzzle, designed by Bernhard Schweitzer, is made of fourteen hardwood pieces fitted into a matching hardwood covered case.

In this photo the puzzle has been solved and the big square block with the blue dot is poised to be removed through the slot.
