Line-up the Holes Cube PuzzleThe “Vista Cube” is a put-together puzzle - a Dimensional Assembly Puzzle - Non Interlocking, to be precise. It’s in the same class as the Soma Cube.

What makes this puzzle challenging is that not only must all the pieces be assembled to form a cube, all the holes must line up all the way through as well.

There are nine identically shaped pieces, made of 3 cubes each. Each of the nine pieces has a unique pattern of holes drilled into it.  One solution is given. We don’t know if other solutions are possible.

This puzzle is made of unfinished Helvea hardwood and comes in a heavy Plexiglas box. We rate this puzzle as difficult. To see this puzzle taken apart, click here - then use your browser’s “Back” button to return to this page.

Here’s the maker’s description:

All nine wooden pieces are identical but have different drilled holes. The cube should be fixed that way that you could look through each hole.
