The Karakuri Small Box No 1.

jpb_karakuri_smallbox_label.jpg (20085 bytes)This cube styled box is unlike any Japanese Puzzle box we have seen before! It is only three moves, but the moves are so unique it had us stumped for some time. When we finally got it open we were in awe of its simple yet challenging configuration - and still are.

These little beauties are crafted by the masters of Izumiya Studios. Each one is covered in good quailty unfinished Yosegi. The quality workmanship is evident in each one of these fine boxes, both in design and in production. Their movements are very smooth and reliable.

Whether you are new to Japanese Puzzle boxes, or are a seasoned puzzler, the Karakuri Small Boxes will present a fun puzzling challenge.

The pictures of the opened boxes (see links below) have be taken in a manner to not give away the opening procedure, but to give you a better idea of the inside compartment. If you wish to learn more about how these new boxes open, click here. Please use your browsers back button to return here.
