Recently, a little octomino puzzle is making the rounds under different names. A Taiwanese version is called IQ CREATOR, another one goes under MAGIC BLOCK. In Germany it is distributed as the EINSTEIN PUZZLE. The puzzle consists of eight octominoes in differnet colors, and the only task required is to pack them into n 8x8 box.
We do not know the inventor nor what his criterion was for choosing just these eight pieces from the total set of 369 possible octominoes.

Jacques Haubrich has put the puzzle into his computer, and his analysis shows that there are exactly six different solutions.
