bottom rather than Yosegi overlay.
This box has a beautifully done Mt. Fuji scene on the top. The warm color pallet used
is very effective. The bottom is decorated with a simple representation of an Oriental
fern. Yoshihiro Ishikawa is the Zougan artist. Marked
inside with the distinctive Izumiya Craft’s Studio mark, this high quality box has a
very good working mechanism and an excellent finish. Opening instructions are provided.
